The thoughts of the Chromafaces diverged. Some felt anxious, fearing their performances might ring false and invite ridicule; others brimmed with eagerness, longing to step onto the stage and test their skill. Though their intentions differed, all bowed in reverence to Lady Chroma, firmly believing that this wondrous method would dissolve their sins and curses.
